The 2023 NHS England Patient Satisfaction Survey results are now out!

Dear Patients,

Firstly, we are pleased that many of our ratings have improved on last years, despite it being an incredibly tough year for the NHS.

Secondly, we are most proud that many of our ratings are significantly better than local and national averages, proving we are providing well for our patients.

*ICS meaning local area*

**In 2022 our overall rating was 82%**

Be under no misconception that we strive for and would love nothing more than to achieve 100% against every survey measure. However the NHS landscape, workforce shortages, underfunding, rising demand and reduced capacity is making this all very hard. This recent local ITV Meridian broadcast resonates with us and describes Primary Care’s challenges very well. We encourage patients to watch this 6 minute video.

We note our patients aren’t finding it easy to get through to us by phone. We are working hard to improve this. Shortly we will be implementing a call back function, call queue positioning/expected answer timing information and increasing staff answering phones at peak times. However at this point can we please remind patients that you can contact us and carry out most administrative tasks quickly and simply online via our website (log routine clinical queries, order prescriptions, review test results, request sick notes, review your patient notes etc).

Many thanks and take care,
