Leg ulcers affect over 500,000 patients in the UK and this is on the rise. There are various causes and most occur in patients with other long term medical problems such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and circulatory problems.
Our team are trained in the care of patients with leg ulcers and can support with assessment, dressings, assessment of any problems with the blood vessels (a doppler test), compression bandaging and the management of any associated infections.
